摘要
A new method, based on the application of Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to compress a construction schedule network. GA is a technique developed by John Holland in 1975, to find optimal or near optimal solution(s) from a set of possible solutions based on the theories of evolution in nature. The lessons learned from the application of GA to network compression problem are discussed and give indication of how GA can contribute in solving similar construction-related optimization problems.
