摘要
Schizolobium parahyba (Vell.) Blake is a fast growing pioneer Leguminosae species, important to reforestation programs. The aim of this work was to estimate the level and distribution of genetic variation within and among five Schizolobium parahyba (guapuruvu) populations, located at coastal and mountain regions in the south of Rio de Janeiro State. RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) markers, with five primers highly polymorphic showing 32 dominant markers, were used to estimate genetic diversity within and among populations. The proportion of polymorphism loci (P) was 97%, as expected for wide distributed specie. From the total genetic diversity, 89% was within populations and 11% among populations. Correlations among genetic and geographic distance were not found, indicating the absence of spatial structure in these populations.
