摘要
Ecotechnology is the use of technological methods for environmental management in a way to minimize the harm to the environment. Herein the primary contributors to nonpoint source (NPS) pollution are presented. Best management practices (BMPs) for NPS pollution are reviewed, and ecological engineering measures for NPS control are described and evaluated. From the presented applications it is concluded that ecotechnological measures may provide satisfactory and cost-effective NPS pollution control as well as strong visual values.
