摘要
In this paper, a novel parasitic elements loaded dual-band dual-polarized base station antenna applying in 2/3/4/5G communication systems is proposed. The antenna consists of three parts: a pair of loop-shape dipole radiator, crossed Y-shaped not overlapping feeding baluns and four parasitic split ring elements. With introducing four parasitic split ring elements in the loop-shaped dipole, a new high frequency resonance point is produced to achieve a dual-band operating characteristic. The overall height of the antenna is only 0.20 lambda(0) (lambda(0) is the wavelength of air-region at the lowest frequency). From result, the proposed antenna covers two wideband with the respective bandwidth of 39.2% (1.64-2.44), and 12.3% (3.28-3.71) for VSWR < 2 and isolation > 20dB. Moreover, the proposed dual-band antenna appears great radiation properties with approximate to 8 dBi antenna gain and 3-dB beamwidth of 65 degrees +/- 5 degrees across the wanted frequencies. Furthermore, printed circuit board fabrication technique can easily fabricate the proposed compact and planar structure antenna. With these attractive features, the dual-band dual-polarized antenna is an ideal candidate antenna for 2/3/4/5G base station applications without any doubt.
