摘要
This paper presents a three-dimensional thermo-mechanical simulation of the rolling of ribbed strip combined with a friction variation model in the roll bite. The theoretical analysis is based on the utilization of the finite element flow formulation to characterize the material flow, employing the friction variation model, to predict the metal flow, the distribution of temperature and stress and to estimate roll separating force and rib height. The numerical predictions were verified by the experiments performed in a hot strip mill. When the friction variation is considered in the thermo-mechanical model, the computed values are in good agreement with the experimental values, and the numerical model is stable.
