摘要
The iPad project, launched in the fall of 2011 and lasting two academic semesters, was initiated with the intent of gaining insight into how Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing could utilize the iPad in various practice settings to enhance nursing students' learning and improve the quality of patient care they provided. This paper will detail the findings that emerged from the interviews and surveys that were used to evaluate the use of iPads in clinical practice; i.e.,, how the students used the devices, the challenges they encountered, and the insights that students shared about the use of the device in clinical nursing education. At the conclusion of the paper, suggestions for a number of directions for nursing education, faculty development, and future research regarding the use of iPads in undergraduate nursing education will be discussed.
