摘要：
Support for innovation processes in SMEs requires a complex institutional framework in which the essential role is played by regional and local institutions. The research is aimed to identify and assess the cooperation of small and medium enterprises with business institutions in the context of open innovation. The study verified positively the research hypothesis: The cooperation of small and medium enterprises with support institutions is at a low level, which is a serious barrier for the further innovative development of these entities in the context of open innovation.
