Dual Band Patch Antenna for Long Term Evolution (LTE) Application in Femtocell Network

摘要
The increasing number of users and wireless application devices using wireless mobile are susceptible to attenuation and interference when propagation from the outdoor toward the indoor area such as in the building or offices. The wireless network is mostly connected using WiFi which operates at 2.45 GHz. For this purpose, a patch antenna is proposed for femtocell network coverage. The proposed antenna is operated at dual band of 1.8 GHz and 2.6 GHz with frequency range of 1.6 GHz -2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz -2.7 GHz respectively. The proposed antenna can be used for LTE and Wi-FI wireless services where it can be implemented for indoor and outdoor area whilst providing good coverage and increased capacity. The antenna exhibits omni-directional pattern at both lower and upper operating frequency with gain of 1.5 dB and 1.8 dB respectively.
