Co-channel Interference Analysis of Multi-beam Satellite Communication Systems for Mobile Satellite Service

摘要
New rising method of communication for mobile satellite service has an interference problem. In this paper, the design of simulator which analyzes downlink and uplink interference of a user link, among interferences that can occur when reuse frequencies to make efficient use of the limited frequency resources in multi-beam satellite environments, in normal mode and reverse mode at satellite and base station is demonstrated. The simulator uses different variables such as the minimum separation distance, diameter of the terrestrial base station cell, satellite cell, and the number of frequency reuse factor to check if protection ratio has been satisfied. Within the paper, different types of scenarios are set to test how the simulator works. At the end, the results of interference analysis are shown in I/N form, and any adjustment which can be made are suggested.
