摘要
Introduction: Cultivating a rich, engaging learning atmosphere in the online environment can be challenging for even the most seasoned educators. Technologies are rapidly advancing, traditional classroom teaching strategies are integrating into the online arena, and students and faculty are evolving to meet the demands of their new learning environments. Perspective: One method to enhance teaching and learning in the online environment is the framework-based approach, summarized here as teach "BIG." Teach "BIG" stands for a three-pronged method that incorporates creating balance, increasing engagement, and giving re-sources for success.
