摘要
Online Social Network (OSN) has been identified to serve different functions to its users. However, OSN also keeps users highly engaged and occupied to online world by keeping them away from offline world. Depending upon the personality of the users, many users experience the decline of psychosocial wellbeing in their life due to the over engagement in OSN. Using self-determination theory, we plan to test and validate how personality plays a role in differentiating positive outcome from negative outcome resulting from OSN. Some of the users who experience such decline in well-being may disengage them from their OSN while others fail to do so. Further, we will also test if fear of missing out would deteriorate the psychosocial well-being even further.
