摘要
This paper reviews a recently redesigned undergraduate course in network management. By using virtual machine technology, a virtual network infrastructure that includes a set of virtual network devices is provided for students to gain practical experience in network management. The comparison between physical network management and virtual network management is described, and the course objectives and course lab design are explained. This approach has the benefit of cost saving, scalability, security, and easy maintenance.
