Thermo-mechanical relaxation of stresses in a glass-metal junction

This work deals with the evaluation of the stress-strain state in an infinite layered cylindrical junction of glass with steel. Structural changes in the glass behavior are described by the Tool-Narayanaswamy-Mazurin-Moynihan model. The relaxation processes in the glass have been presented by the temperature regime depending of the fictive temperature T-f, the relaxation time tau' or the viscosity eta and the thermal expansion coefficient alpha((1)). The calculations of the stress components in the glass have been made by using the viscoelastic model. The presented model allows to find the optimal annealing conditions for the creation of the glass-metal composite material.
