摘要
A 1 mass% fullerene-dispersed Mg-Al-Zn alloy composite with an initial matrix grain size of 2 mu m was processed by extruding a mixture of magnesium machined chips and fullerene powder. The composite exhibited superplasticity, with an elongation of 256% at 548 K even at a relatively high strain rate of 10(-2) s(-1). The addition of fullerene had little effect on the flow stress, whereas it decreased the elongation by comparison with the alloy. (c) 2006 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
