Plant regeneration of ivy leaved geranium through shoot organogenesis

摘要
Regeneration from petioles and leaf blades was studied for seven genotypes of Pelargonium peltatum. Multiple adventitious shoots were produced using wide range of thidiazuron concentrations. Somatic embryos were produced from callus-derived cell suspensions from 3 genotypes, with a combination of 0.45 mu M thidiazuron and 20 mu M alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid in liquid medium. Regenerants were rooted and transferred to soil where they showed a normal phenotype.
