Finite element predictions of guided ultrasonic wave fields generated by piezoelectric transducers

摘要：
The relative generation efficiencies of the AO and SO modes in a steel plate excited by a piezoelectric disc bonded to the plate surface is investigated as a function of the thickness of the bond between the disc and the plate. Finite element predictions are confirmed by experimental measurements.
