Numerical analyses of an unsteady flow field in a compressor cascade with periodically changing inflow conditions

摘要
The presence of unsteady wake-blade interaction and wake transport significantly affects turbomachinary component aerodynamics [1]. This paper presents the results of a CFD analysis which is used to predict the unsteady flow field in a high pressure compressor cascade. In the analyses, the wakes generated by the upstream blade rows are simulated by bars moving in front of the compressor stator blades at various bar speeds and inlet Mach numbers. Particular care has been devoted to the prediction of the wake trajectories and the distribution of the turbulent quantities in the wakes.
