摘要
In the framework of the re-organisation of the European food legislation, the competent authority is authorised to approve on the basis of relevant information the inspection of pig carcasses without incision and palpation. Two preconditions for this official risk-based meat inspection are indispensable: An information system that provides the official veterinarian sufficient information about the animals in question (food chain information). A decision model that enables the official veterinarian to assess the risk level by the information. Both the information system and the decision model are developed in the context of a Dutch-German joint R and D project "Border-crossing integrated quality management for pork" (GIQS).
