Control Scheme for Flooding Operation of Reactive Routing in Mobile Ad-hoc Network

摘要
Wireless mobile ad-hoc network has efficient routing issue due to variable nature and limited resource constraints. Routing is essential approach in ad-hoc network for data transmissions because every node serves as router in absence of central router. Several routing schemes have been advised to discover route, one of them is flooding. Flooding scheme offers to discover route through flooding of routing packets in the network. In this scheme routing packets are traversing throughout the network infinitely that consumes resources unnecessarily such battery power, bandwidth and cause throughput degradation. In this paper, efficient clustering scheme is advised to reducing flooding of routing packets. Propose scheme is simulated in NS-2 by considering simulation parameters and evaluated on the basis of routing overheads, energy cost and residual energy.
