摘要
Self-Concept, self-esteem and school learning. Self-concept is one of the most relevant variables in the field of personality, both affective and motivational perspective. Multiple researches highlight its importance in the regulation of cognitive-motivational strategies involved in learning and academic performance. However, it is necessary a synthesis which reconciles all the information that we know about this construct. In this job one offers a point of view about how integrate that information (sometimes coincidental, sometimes remarkably contradictory) in a hypothetic model,, describing briefly the characteristics and basic supports of this construct.
