摘要
Panton-Valentine lenkocidin (PLV) is a toxin produced by Staphylococcus aureus. Previously described as responsible for furunculoses and cutaneous abscesses, it was recently found to cause necrotizing pneumonia, generally lethal. We describe a case of necrotizing pneumonia caused by S. aureus containing PLV with an atypical form (bubble form), which had a good outcome despite several risk factors for death: hemoptysis, leukopenia, erythrodermia.
