摘要
This paper deals with the design method for the mixed-model assembly lines with Set Parts Supply System (SPS Line), such as self-completion assembly lines introduced in some automobile factories. We propose a design method for those lines to balance work-in-process (WIP) and work load. We also numerically analyse the effects that WIP and work delay could be balanced by the introduction of the SPS and buffer products between the lines.
