摘要
This paper proposes EDAL-WRP protocol for increasing the energy efficiency of the WSN. It will yield routes that associate all nodes with low cost routes, under the restraints of packet latency requirements. Here we developed two algorithms which is centralized heuristic and distributed heuristic. Centralised for reduce the computational overhead and distributed for to do the protocol ascendable for large network operations. EDAL protocol is incorporated with weighted rendezvous planning that detects a nigh optimal traveling tour. It reduces the energy usage of nodes. WRP give out a weight to sensor nodes. Weight is calculated based on the number of data packets that they forward and also distance of the hop. The highest weight of sensor nodes are only selected by WRP. From the simulation results it proves that EDAL-WRP reduces the network lifetime.
