摘要：

The aim of this paper is to investigate the evolution of gold price. Our analysis is divided in two parts. First, we propose to stint, the evolution of gold price and to identify any possible structural breaks in the return series of it by using Lee & Strazicich test. Second, we use a regression in order to study the impact of consumer price index and oil price on gold price. The sample is analyzed for the 1982-2012 period. Our findings show a positive and significant impact of the two variables on the price of gold.
