摘要
BeiDou is the Chinese global satellite navigation system steadily accelerating towards completion by 2020. The system aims to provide continuous, stable and reliable position, navigation and timing services to users across globe. This research focusses on determining the system accuracy using an extended Kalman filter for point positioning in single frequency BeiDou Receivers. Low cost single frequency receivers are targeted for mass market applications. The filter model is described in detail and positioning results are obtained for both extended Kalman filter and traditional least squares technique. It is seen that the extended Kalman filter based navigation solution has a much lower positioning error than the least square approach. The technique can contribute to volunteered geographic information services such as OpenStreetMap etc.
