摘要
Some aspects of hydrodynamic characteristics of a coaxial flow two impinging streams cyclone reactor, applied in processing of fluid-solid systems, have been studied under a range of operating conditions. A compartment model has been devised to describe the pattern of flow within the reactor. Based on such a pattern, a stochastic model for the residence time distribution (RTD) of solid particles has been developed, using Markov chains discrete time formulation. The latter was correlated with the experimental RTD data, obtained by applying the tracer analysis method.
