摘要
The traditional precautions after islanding process is to disconnect distributed generation (DG) to ensure safe operation. However, disconnection of DGs reduces the island reliability and security. Many of the DG owners prefer to control the islanding process and put certain constraints and regulations for the new isolated system, which is achieved through intentional islanding. This study presents an advanced load shedding algorithm, which enhances the intentional islanding dynamics. The load shedding algorithm can improve the total distribution system reliability and security. Distribution systems are equipped with monitoring and control systems that help in detecting islanding states and create intentional island configurations. The dynamic behaviors after intentional islanding for the case studies are extensively investigated. The system has been cheeked under extreme conditions and the results prove its robustness. The local supervisory control system can modify the generator frequency controller and voltage controller to guarantee high power quality in the new isolated system. Small signal stability study is introduced for each island to check the stability for the new islands. The proposed load shedding algorithm is tested for the case studies to prove its capability. The system is modeled and simulated via NEPLAN software.
