摘要
Rapidly solidified Fe-29.6 at% Pd alloy foil shows a stronger magnetic anisotropy and larger magnetostriction, 6.5 x 10(-4). This phenomenon is caused by the rearrangements of activated martensitic twin variants. The inverse phase transformation temperatures obtained from X-ray diffraction and magnetization vs. temperature curve are 293-333 K and 400-440 K, respectively. The origin of the discrepancy is unclear. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
