摘要
Airfoil is a cross section of a wing or blade and can be represented by polygonal lines. Although drawing an airfoil shape is an easy matter, selecting a right shape fit for the purpose is not. The shape of the airfoil profile is a key factor for good performance of the turbines, making it essential to optimise the airfoil for a maximum lift with a minimum drag. This paper discusses the use of morphing technique for a rapid airfoil generation, and it illustrates the potential of the technique as a powerful tool for the process of foil optimisation.
