Horizontal Displacements of integral bridges foundations as a result of tangential effects

摘要
As a characteristic feature integral bridges have a frame structure with elastically embedded bearings. In calculation of stress resultants for these frame structures the interactions between the supported structural elements and the foundation soil or the backfill are to consider. The bulk modulus method allows calculating the vertical displacements in the base of shallow foundations, caused by axial forces and moments. Up to now the estimate of influence of deformations of the design stress resultants was given through a presumption of a forced displacement for tangential effects. The article shows the analytical ascertainment of horizontal displacements by foundations of activated friction in the contact zone and mobilized active or passive earth pressure. As a result, the coefficients of subgrades or resilience for horizontal bearings in static models are indicated.
