The low-temperature combustion synthesis (LCS) method, a most popular method for the synthesis of ultrafine oxides, was adopted to synthesize the Er3+-doped barium-sodium-yttrium-fluoride up-conversion phosphor, and the orthogonal experiments were adopted to determine the optimal batch formula. X-ray diffraction and scanning electronic microscope analyses were performed to analyze the phase composition and the morphology of the phosphor. The intensity law of green-to-red emission has been studied through a series of up-conversion spectra of different Er3+-Y3+ concentration samples. It is indicated that the Y3+ concentration will benefit the green up-conversion luminescence, while the Er3+ concentration will benefit the red up-conversion luminescence.
