摘要：
ASCI Red is the first 1-tera-operations-per-second computer with the purpose of greatly decreasing the simulation time for large physics calculations. The data sets this machine produces can overwhelm common networks and storage systems. Thus, improved performance demands coordinated data file formats, networks, processing software, and rendering software and hardware. A systems approach is presented that addresses this problem.
