Spherilene Process LLDPE for conventionally blown shrink film

Properties of blown shrink films produced from Spherilene Process LLDPE resins are detailed. These resins yield films with substantial transverse direction shrinkage and high resistance to pinholing, or burn through, during end use shrink tunnel processing. The current shrink film market is comprised largely of high pressure LDPE and LDPE-rich blends. Spherilene Process LLDPE may be used by replacing non-shrinking, conventional LLDPE in blends with LDPE. Further, these new resins may be used to decrease, or even eliminate, the LDPE content of shrink films. Examples are cited.
