摘要
It is shown that NOAA satellite data with spatial resolution 1.1 km can be used to estimate the area and age of fires and the extent of forest recovery, and to date past fires. The paper presents the results of classification using maximum likelihood, and minimum distances and clustering with respect to the maxima of multidimensional histograms.
