摘要
A boundary layer analysis is Presented for the fluid flow and hear transfer characteristics of an incompressible micropolar fluid flowing over a plane moving surface in parallel or in reverse to the free stream. The isothermal boundary condition has been treated in this paper. The resulting system of non-linear ordinary differential equations is solved by the multi-stage continuous Runge-Kutta method with shooting techniques. Numerical results are obtained for the velocity, angular velocity and temperature distributions. The results indicate that micropolar fluids display drag reduction and heat transfer reduction characteristics.
