摘要
This paper provides a quick overview of New Zealand electricity infrastructure. This includes the industry structure, current and future generation portfolio and the market operation. It then proceeds to inform about the generic requirements for on-line Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA). Covering structural components, functional aspects and issues associated with modeling, computation, performance, and reliability which are the components for DSA. A comparative assessment of where New Zealand stands in respect to other countries is provided. This paper also presents details about experience of the transmission system operator in thermal constraint building using AC simultaneous feasibility test for New Zealand electricity market.
