DSP implementation of a reconfigurable software defined radio channelizer

摘要
The most computationally intensive part of a software defined radio (SDR) receiver is the channelizer, which extracts multiple narrowband channels from a wideband input signal. In an SDR receiver, the compatibility of the channnelizer with different wireless communication standards is guaranteed by its reconfigurability. In this paper, we present the implementation of a reconfigurable channelizer based on tree-structured quadrature mirror filter (QMF) banks using Texas Instruments TMS320C6711 digital signal processor (DSP). Experimental results show that the proposed channelizer offers better adjacent channel interference attenuation and low complexity when compared with conventional Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) based channelizer.
