摘要
Floating breakwaters allow water exchange between harbors and their surrounding coastal waters, and are good low cost alternatives for marinas and recreational harbors. This paper presents a new set of experimental data for wave transmission coefficients and response amplitude operators (heave, roll,, and sway) for a 2-dimensional, rectangular floating-breakwater. An inertia measurement unit (IMU) was used to obtain accurate measurements of the breakwater responses to regular waves. The results are compared with some existing results for similar breakwater configurations.
