摘要
Modern burners con significantly increase the efficiency of electric arc furnaces. Data from 79 steelworks, which were equipped with the Jetbox-combined corbon/oxygen injector/burner from Process Technology International Inc. (PTI), document the advantages of this technology for steelmaking, especially where large quantities of hot metal are used to augment scrap melting. Details of the system are discussed with reference to a recently equipped Consteel furnace at the Xining Special Steel Group plant in China and before-and-after operating data presented.
