摘要
In this paper, a control algorithm is presented to suppress transverse vibrations of an axially moving beam. The proposed control algorithm is designed based on the reduced-order of the axially moving beam systems, which is obtained using the Galerkin method. The advantage of the proposed control law is to regulate the transverse displacement of the moving beam without applying external force to the material surface directly and therefore, to prevent damage of the material surface. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is illustrated by numerical simulations.
