摘要
The process of electrocrystallization of superconducting MgB2 film on magnesium film has been developed. It involves deposition of c-axis oriented magnesium films by vacuum evaporation technique, which are used as electrode for reduction of boron and its subsequent electrocrystallization into MgB2 from non-aqueous electrolytic bath. Electrochemical measurements such as linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry were performed to study the nucleation and growth of MgB2 films. Further, these films are heat treated to have proper superconducting phase formation. The structural, morphological and superconducting properties of the MgB2 films have been studied.
