摘要
This paper describes the importance of understanding historical time paradigms and their influence on multicultural communication. Many cultural differences can be explained by monochromatic and polychromatic time recognitions and other time paradigms. Northern European countries as well as North America understand time as a physical fact with its material value. For Southern Europeans, America and Africa, time is in service of man. In these cultures, people are less abided by time and use it for their own advantage. People could profit and achieve positive changes in their lives through understanding of time dominant paradigms and by managing multicultural communication.
