摘要
In the World of technology and digitization, huge traffic in terms of multimedia data is sent over the networks daily. As the rate at which multimedia data traffic is increasing, it cannot be ignored that the threats to such data are also increasing at proportional rate. So, it is a need of today's era to protect multimedia data and it should be a matter of prime focus for digitized World. Watermarking is one such technique to protect multimedia data. In this paper, an improved technique for embedding a watermark into an image called as cover image is proposed based on the concept of 2-level discrete wavelet transform (DWT) in combination with the concept of singular value decomposition (SVD). The investigational results confirms that the technique is secure enough to protect the multimedia objects.
