摘要：
This paper put forward a new method for managing 3D data based on LOD model. In order to link spatial index and LOD technique, this paper extends R -tree and put forward two database implementation mechanics for our method. The experimental results denote the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach. It is easy to be realized in some main commercial database management systems such as Oracle and SQL Server etc. Moreover, it realizes two key functions of spatial query and LOD query.
