摘要:
N(1)-Alkyl-2-(dimethylphenylazo)imidazoles (L and L') yield bis-chelated complexes [ML2](ClO4) (M = Cu (2,3) and Ag (4,5)). The complexes are 1:1 electrolytes in MeOH and the composition is supported by Jobs method of continuous variation and molar ratio method. The structure of ligands and complexes are established by H-1 NMR spectral data and the signal pattern suggests that the chelate rings are magnetically equivalent (C-2-symmetry). The redox studies have also been carried out.
