摘要：
A prototype of an emergency management system dealing with emergencies in road tunnels has been developed, and the system evaluation is discussed in the paper. The paper will include description of the type of major accidents, their frequencies and consequences, as well as means to increase the safety in tunnels. The success criteria for the evaluation is, defined and discussed from the points of view of functionality, user acceptance, and impact analysis.
