Palladium-catalyzed kinetic resolution of tert-cyclobutanols with bromobenzene affords chiral ketones via C C bond cleavage as well as chiral tert-cyclobutanols with moderate to good enantioselectivity. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
