摘要
The distribution of drinking water in cities demands a large amount of electricity. Much of this energy is wasted by the natural effects of friction inside the pipes. Other very important losses are due to the transport of water to high reservoirs, generally located in hills near homes. In many cases the pressure that reaches the homes is sufficient to meet the needs of the house and requires the use of a regulating valve to prevent damage to the seals of the accessories inside the house. In the present work, the development of an experimental model for the measurement and utilization of at least a part of the extra potential energy applied to the water when carrying it to the elevated reservoir is shown. An electric hydro generator is used and the energy generated is stored in a battery for marginal use in the home. This contributes to a saving of money and contributes to the reduction of the impact of the ecological footprint.
