Safety Management Systems, or SMS, have seen wide implementation in manned aviation. Currently, while not required to do so, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) companies are beginning to explore the SMS usefulness to their organizations as well. Companies are offering solutions to aid unmanned aviation organizations with implementation, with the possibility of additional regulation on the horizon. © 2020,International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace.
