摘要
Examination based student evaluation system has received a lot of criticisms due to its incapability of evaluating the true potential of a students. It is often related to memorize and recall ability over a given specific time period of examination. This work proposes a new approach of evaluating student skills and knowledge through a spontaneous game play activity. A board game is invented to fit the school syllabus and can be played by the primary and secondary school students. The game put together 6 students in a session, run through an exciting game quest structured in a form of problem based learning concept. The questionsare customizable according to the predefined subject and topics. The approach has revealed that, the students are much more motivated to answer the questions and able to utilized the knowledge that was taught in the classroom effectively. This is driven by the clear objective of solving the given problem and the ability to relate to skills and knowledge that is required to solve the given problem. The performance of each student is tracked where the strength or weakness can be immediately identified in relation to a specific subject, topic and subtopic.
